Maintaining a dynamic equilibrium in different processes by a human body is called homeostasis. Homeostasis ensures that the body cells and organs have the optimum internal environment to function properly even in response to external fluctuations in environment. e. g. sugar level, temperature, blood osmotic pressure. Failure to maintain this dynamic equilibrium can result prone to the changes in the external and internal environment of the body ultimately leading to organ failure and death.
