A battery is made up of a cathode and an anode, cathode contains an excess of negative charge whereas the anode is positively charged. Thus, making both electrodes of the battery with the same metal, it will not be possible to create two different types of electrodes, or we can say, that it will not be possible to establish potential across the electrodes, and thus, having both metal components as copper will not make a good battery
