Explain the difference interactions that can take place when the beam of light hits the glass tank and then enters the water. Why does the beam of light change direction when it enters the water?

    Because air and water have different density.

    Air is less dense than water.

    So, the light will bend towards normal.

    Thus, the angle of refraction is smaller than angle of incidence.

    This phenomena is known as refraction.
