    The specific heat capacity of water is 4.179 J/gram or 4185.5 J/kg C a) Energy needed to raise the temperature of 2kg of water by 10C = 2 x 4185.5 x 10 = 83, 710J b) Energy = Power x time = 210 x 200 = 42 000J The heater supplies 42 000J of energy
