Plucking a guitar string is a physical change; however, the process produces sound. Explain.

    Plucking a string on a guitar will vibrate the string which produces sound. The plucking made a disturbance in the string forming sinusoidal waves but with the many components what survive are the fundamental wavelength of the string which fit the string producing harmonics.
