The correct answer is d. All of the above. The increas in the concentration of atmospheric carbondioxide began with the industrial revolution in the 1700s. This period of industrialization saw an increase in the use of fossil fuels. Industrialization prompted innovation and the need for new raw materials to develop new technologies. These raw materials, mined from the earth, are sometinmes extracted by methods that create hazardous wastes. The rise in the use of fossil fuels pumped more carbon dioxide in the atmosphere which inturn traps more heat in the atmosphere leading to present day global climate change.
