How can you increase the magnitude of friction between two surfaces?

    - - Make one or both surfaces rougher (less smooth).

    Like cover it with sandpaper.

    - - If it's one object resting on top of a surface or another object,

    then make the upper object heavier. Like put a brick on top of it.
