Why a system must be isolated for Conservation of Energy to be observed?

    Because if there's energy coming into it from outside,

    or escaping to the outside, then you can't keep track

    of it and observe how much total energy is involved.

    So you have no way to tell whether or not some energy

    totally disappeared, or some popped into existence.
