The displacement of an object during a specific amount of time is speed. For example, Marsha ran 5 meters in 20 minutes. Divide 5 meters by 20 minutes and you will get ¼ meters per minute. Or if you want a unit of m/s, changing 20 minutes into seconds and you will get 1200 seconds. Then divide 5 by 1200 and you will get 1/240 m/s.
