    In order to counteract the negative impact of our culture on little girls, Lisa Bloom suggested, in the reading feature "talking with little girls", that we should talk about their mind, ask them what they are reading and focus more on intelligent conversations instead of their look.

    This is because our culture teaches girls that they have to be pretty and that their value is how they look since they are old enough to understand words.

    So, talking to little girls about their reading or how they feel, instead of focusing on their appearance could make an impact that maybe is small, but in time could change the narrative of our predominant culture.
