    I believe the answer is: Participants who drank the sugar drink did better on the second self-control task.

    Consuming artificial sweetener would give a boost of energy that make them hyper reacting for a short period of time but would most likely to crash in few hours.

    Because of this, the participants who have sugar drink would most likely to perform on self-control task.
