I believe the answer is: B ... to appeal to as many people as possible

For example, the environmentalist would be less likely to use plastic bottle but will show stronger preference for aluminium cans or glass bottle.

The way it shaped also could influenced how avid bycicle riders preference in choosing the bottle.
