Answer: Due to the fact that in that part of the world, a large part of the territory was seized from the Ottoman Empire.

    Explanation:

That part of the territory was put under the control of the United Kingdom and France. The task of the governments of these two countries was to prepare independence for these countries. Since before the First World War the Ottoman Empire controlled a large part of these territories after the war, they lost the same. The Ottoman Empire made war on the side of Germany during the First World War. Post-war foreign winners are expanding their influence in this part of the world.

This was as result of the fall of the Ottoman Empire which resulted in the creation of the mandate system.

    Explanation:

This was as result of the fall of the Ottoman Empire. After the fall of the Ottoman empire which cover and surround the Mediterranean sea on up before the WW1, the Europeans created the mandate system which serves as a form of partition between countries of south west Asia and the European countries like the France and the Great Britain after the WW1.

Mandate group or system was formed for the collective purpose to secure south west Asians countries by league of nations and also bring an end to the war cycle that has existed after the WW1.

However, some consequences were created as a result of this mandate system of separation. Some of which are:

Cultures that existed before the mandate system was jeopardize. There was discrimination against some tribes. Disagreements based on different religion that existed. Mandate system was also seen as a system to continue imperialism (slave trade business)

It must also be known that we have three classes of mandate system which are the class A, B and C.

Class A is made up of the those previously controlled by the Ottoman empire.

Class B is made up of all former areas or territory controlled by the German.

Class C is the class that are known to be the best managed by the mandate system
