    The latent function of FB are cyber bullying, adolescent depression, social norms!

    Manifest functions are the recognized and intended consequences of a social pattern. FB is intended to connect people across the world.

    Latent Functions are the unintended, usually overlooked consequences of a social pattern. FB is a powerful place, that also causes depressions, cyber bullying, and low self-esteem. Consider all the ads that you see, and the posts! Though FB is meant for connecting virtually, it also has a whole unintended purpose.
