during akbar's rule the farmers had to pay one third of their revenue to the government. what would the government use this money for? do we in modern day india also pay of our earnings to the government

    There isn't a government on this planet, past or present, that hasn't taxed its citizens.

    I don't know about Akabar's time. Past governments have needed money for their armies and their weapons.

    Modern times are no different. Do you have schools in India? How about roads? Then there's hospitals and nurses and medications. How about Defense? Where do think the money comes from for these kinds of services?

    Governments have a "secret" motto. "If you can think of what you need, we will get it for you. Don't worry! Taxes will take care of you."
