Explanation:

Both Gautama Buddha and Jesus Christ were humans first, who work on trying to make a better world, preaching and teaching about humility, patience and love for other humans. Both worked hard to make their followers towards a much better way of life and salvation, and they both are the same in regards to belief system and their zeal to work for a peaceful world, reforming the faith and approach that was prevalent during their times. But, as time goes, they both began to divert from each other and in the end, they emerge as separate religions in their own ways, one becoming the religion of the Christians and the other Buddhism.
