India is home to many of the world's oldest and most popular religions. Name at least three religions practiced in India, including the most commonly practiced.

    Although India is a secular state, meaning it has no state religion, is the birthplace of four major religions: Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, and Sikhism.

    Hinduism is the main indian religion, concentrating 90% of the world's Hindu population. Hinduism is both an Indian religion and dharma, meaning a way of life.

    India is also the birthplace of four of the world's major religions: Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism and Sikhism. The freedom of religion is a fundamental right in India and it is granted in their constitution.

    Almost 80% of the population practise Hinduism, 15% practise Islam and the rest other religions (Christianity, Sikhism, Buddhism and other ethical faiths).
