    Egypt was called the gift of the Nile because the Nile river gave life to the desert. This was an essential river during this time and civilizations started developing after people began farming in this region.

    Egypt lies in the dessert and only because of the river Nile and its yearly flooding the people was able to build a civilization there. When the Nile floods, it leavs the fertile ground for raising different crops. Because of this phenomenon the Egyptians were able to have their own agricultural developement.
