    According to traditional Freudian psychology it's called Projection.

    Projection is that process by which an individual projects his or her own unacceptable impulses, attributes or even desires onto others as an ego defense mechanism in order to be able to cope with the feelings of anxiety they produce in him or her.

    This process often involves blame shifting
