Current market economies are actually mixed market economies in which governments and economic authorities intervene in the economy by implementing policies for public service provision and income redistribution.

Every citizen, contributes through the payment of taxes to the funding of services that are subsequently provided by the state. All citizens will have equal and open access to those services. Moreover, a tax system reduces income inequalities if progressive taxes are implemented, which establish that higher tax rates are applied to individuals with higher incomes.
