What do you think is the most serious crime affecting society? why?

Shootings and gun violence because the first reason being the most obvious is that it kills people and traumatizes families and the people that also had to witness the shooting. There have been over 50 deadly shootings and the police have had to obtain almost 300 guns. I also believe that the Columbine shooting has triggered all the other documented school shootings as well. Now kids have to do shooting drills and schools are cracking down on safety and security which leaves any child going to school having to worry if it'll be the last time they say goodbye to their parents. It's a terrible and evil crime that needs to end.
