What obligations did a peasant have to the lord of manor

    The major obligation of a peasant was working on the land that they're assigned to, and which belonged to the lord of the manor and producing agricultural goods: wheat and other food. They would be expected to deliver a big proportion of the food they produced to the lord, and they were allowed to keep a small portion for themselves.
