What is one way Feudal Japan was different than Feudal Europe? Marriage was used to form alliances in Japan. Families hired warriors for protection in Japan. Japanese estates were centered around a castle. Japanese peasants owned the land they farmed.

    Religion wasn't a big theme for fighting in Japan at the time, but in Europe it was the main issue
