    The correct sequence is as follows:

    stimulus - - > emotion AND physiological changes

    This calls for a simultaneous sequence. Have in mind that Cannon and Bard suggested that the emotion and physiology occur simultaneously. They scientificaly proved that by saying that emotional expression results from the function of hypothalamic structures, and emotional feeling results from stimulations of the dorsal thalamus.
