The temperature of a gas sample s increased from 50 degrees celsius to 100 degrees celsius. By what factor must the pressure be changed if the volume is kept constant?

    Mathematically, P1T1 = P2T2

    All we need to do is make P2 the subject of the relation.

    P2 = P1T1/T2

    P2 = P1 * 373/323

    P2 = 1.155P1

    Hence, the factor is that we multiply the P1 by 1.155
