How was George McLaurin treated when he first started at the University of Oklahoma? What did he do to change how the school treated him?

    He was given completely segregated facilities, from a special table in the cafeteria to a designated desk in the library and a desk just outside his classes

    He then went back to the US District court to have the separate facilities removed and to allow him to interact fully with the other students

    The case failed but the Supreme Court reversed the previous decision
