What is the rang of strong nuclear force

    Nucleons have a radius of about 0.8 fm ... At short distances (less than 1.7 fm or so), the attractive nuclear force is stronger than the repulsive Coulomb force between protons; it thus overcomes the repulsion of protons within the nucleus.
