What is the mathematical relationship between frequency wavelength and wave speed?

    The basic relationship is

    Speed = (wavelength) x (frequency).

    From that one, you can easily derive these:

    Wavelength = (speed) / (frequency)

    and

    Frequency = (speed) / (wavelength).
