A bullet of mass. 65 kg is fired from a 4.0-kg gun with a speed of 5.0*10^2m/s. What is the recoil velocity of the gun?

    Momentum before firing = momentum after firing

    momentum = mass*velocity

    m1 = 0.65 kg, v1 = 5*10² m/s

    m2 = 4, v2=?

    m1v1=m2v2

    v2=m1v1/m2 = (0.65*5*10²) / 4 = 81.25 m/s
