Why is an object's weight dependent upon where in the universe it is located? A. Gravitational force is the magnitude of weight acting on an object. Weight varies in different places in the universe; therefore, gravitational force also varies. B. Weight is the magnitude of gravitational force acting on an object. Gravitational force varies in different places in the universe; therefore, weight also varies. C. Weight is the amount of matter in an object. Because gravity is a force, and force is proportional to weight, both gravity and weight vary in different places in the universe. D. Gravitational force is the magnitude of weight acting on an object's mass. Weight varies in different places in the universe; therefore, gravitational force and mass also vary.
