    Stanley Milgram at Yale University, led a test concentrating on the contention between submission to authority and individual conscience. He inspected supports for acts of genocide offered by those denounced at the World War II Nuremberg War Criminal trials. The theory that was tried was the level of agony an individual will dispense upon another individual since he was commanded by an authority figure.
