I believe that the principle of law which is not properly upheld in this case is the Equal Protection Laws. The Equal Protection Laws focuses on the framework where the states are not required / or generally, the states shall not deprive but instead, grant the same rights and privileges and protection to all the citizens. Since the company which is targeted does not operate any differently from the other local companies, it means that if the federal government passes a law to target this one specific company then it would mean that the Equal Protection Laws is violated and is not properly being upheld.
