Ok. we see that the ratio of babies to total people is 35:1000

we know that namibia has a total of 1800000 people

now, using the ratio 35:1000, we have to find x (number of babies) in x:1,800,000

to repeat, we have

35:1000 and

x:1,800,000

we can multiply the first ratio by 1800 to get (13*1800) : 1,800,000 or 23400

there are 23400 babies
